George Robert "Bob" Anderson, 70 years, 11 months and 30 days of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life and entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, January 30th, 2013 at the Somerwoods Nursing & Rehab Center.
Bob was born in Science Hill, Kentucky on January 31st, 1942, son of the late Bradford Green and Gracie Mae West Anderson. He was a brick and block layer and a member of Norwood Holiness Church. He loved going to Church. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was survived by his loving wife, Janett Carrol Goff Anderson, whom he married on September 15th, 1962; two sons, Dennis Robert (and Sherry) Anderson and Jon (and Lisa) Anderson; three daughters, Carol (and Randy) Watson, Melissa (and Phil) Slayton, and Michelle (and Matt) Dodrill; one brother, Donald Ray Anderson; two sisters, Bea Wesley and Jean Clines; eight grandchildren, Samantha Anderson, Nathaniel (and Katie) Watson, Chestin Watson, Elizabeth Slayton, Kayla Slayton, Tori Dodrill, Hunter Dodrill, and Lauren Anderson; one step grandson, Daniel (and Stephanie) Cothron; one great-grandchild, Jaden Crouch Watson; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bradford Anderson and Gracie Mae Anderson; two brothers, Delmar Anderson and Dewey Anderson; and three sisters, Dorothy Dunsmore, Ruby Mofield, and Della Crow.
Visitations were held after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31st, 2013 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and again on Friday, February 1st from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at the Norwood Holiness Church.
Funeral services were held at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 1st, 2013 at the Norwood Holiness Church with Bro. Chris King officiating.
Burial followed in the Science Hill Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
