The daughter of Charles Henry and Carrie Eva (Kratzer) Krouse she was born in Buffalo Township.

She attended the Vicksburg School and graduated from the Empire Beauty School of Sunbury, PA.

She was a self employed beautician in Mazeppa. While living in Illinois she assisted her spouse in agriculture.

Married Justus Cockriell on Feb 22, 1946. He died Aug. 9, 1998.

Mrs Cockriell was a long time member of her church, a member of the American Legion Post 182 Auxillary. She served as an officer for many years winning a lifetime achievement award for collecting donations for homeless veterans.

She belonged to the Gar DePas Cooties Association of the 40 et 8 Voiture in Northumberland. She served on the Agency for Aging of Union County, the American Red Cross for 20 years and the Union County Children and Youth Advisory Board for 16 years.

Children: Rev. Charles J Cockriell d. June 6, 2000.
