Wife of John Francis Caudle. Mother of Johnnie, Georgia, Ruby, Mary, Mae, Jessie, and Charlie.
Daisy's husband and children were entertainers but Daisy did all the costume making. They traveled by covered wagon from town to town putting on shows as singers, dancers and ventriloquist. Even though Daisy was losing her eyesight she still did all the sewing and cooking and washing and cleaning for the family as they traveled.
My grandmother was her daughter (Johnnie) and she always told us that Daisy never allowed them to go to bed without eating something. She never let her children go to bed hungry or dirty and was immaculate in her own appearance even though they spent most of the time camping out.
She never complained and her family always came first even in her final years. She was blind when she died at age 40. My Grandma Johnnie always said "the most wonderful people in this world always die young because God needs their help".
