According to mission records, Pedro Garcia was buried March 3, 1826. His parents were Felipe Garcia and Petra Alcantara Lugo. He was married to Native American Maria Rafaela of mission San Diego.∼Pedro Antonio Garcia y Lugo was born at Los Angeles, February 22, 1790, and baptized at Mission San Gabriel the following day (SG Baptism 01812). He was the son of Felipe Santiago Garcia (1748-1822) and Petra Joaquina Alcantara Lugo (1756-18??), both born at Villa de Sinaloa, Sinaloa. Pedro married Maria Rafaela, a Native American convert, at Mission San Diego, January 8, 1817 (SD Marriage 01186). According to Plaza Church records, Pedro Garcia was the first burial in the church cemetery, March 3, 1826 - (LA Burial 00001).
