EASTON – Patricia L. Kiser, 79, wife of the late Derl G. Kiser, passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 24, 2013, at a Mars Hill health care facility, after a brief illness. She was born May 18, 1933, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Roy W. and Pearl (McLean) Shaw.

Patricia attended Presque Isle schools and was married to Derl G. Kiser, July 30, 1955. A dedicated homemaker, Patricia greatly enjoyed Sunday get-togethers at the Shaw family farm in Presque Isle. Patricia's greatest joy was her family and she cherished the time spent babysitting her grandchildren. She also loved her church family at Presque Isle First United Pentecostal Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kiser was predeceased by her husband, Derl, Aug. 31, 1985; one grandson, Ryan R. Clark, July 31, 2005; one brother, Roy M. "Pete" Shaw; and four sisters, Verna Condon, Esther Roix, Audrey Brown and Joyce Shaw. She is survived by two sons, Wayne L. Kiser of Presque Isle and Terry L. Kiser and his wife, Cynthia, of Weaver, New Brunswick; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry D. and Robert P. Clark of Fort Fairfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Patty Shaw of Presque Isle and Merrill and Arlene Shaw of Mars Hill; one sister, Goldena Spencer of Bangor; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Baker of Anfield, New Brunswick, Nancy, Jeff and Craig Kiser, all of Weaver, New Brunswick, Morgan Kiser of Portland, Whitney Clark of Germany and Brandon Clark of Fort Fairfield; two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Chantal Baker, both of Anfield, New Brunswick; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Sweeney of Clintwood, Va., and Audrey Kennedy and her husband, Allen, of Colburn, Va.; numerous nieces and nephews. The Kiser family wishes to extend their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff of the The Aroostook Medical Center Mars Hill Skilled Unit for the exceptional care given to Patricia during her illness.
