Mrs. Dorothy Irine Abernathy, 78, of Centre, passed away in Riverview Regional Medical Center. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery with Jordan Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Abernathy is survived by three sons, Troy Abernathy and Jimmy D. Abernathy, both of Centre and Kenneth Abernathy of Angle, La.; three daughters, Eunice Gregory of Leesburg, Linda Kelley of Collinsville and Patricia McKerley of Centre, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 10 great, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Abernathy was preceded in death by a son, Tony and a daughter, Evelyn Kate Abernathy. She was the daughter of the late David and Lillian McGinnis Jenkins.
