Mrs. Lola V. Jenkins Calaway, 89 of Centre, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 P.M. at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tom Baxley officiating.
Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 P.M. Monday. Memorials may be made to the American Autism Association, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or flowers will be accepted.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Elaine (Billy) Brooks and Marilyn (Tim) Sanders of Centre, Annette (John) Currier of Dothan and Nancy (Jeff) Burkhalter of Cordova, TN; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; special friends, Charlotte Grimes, Emmilene Keener, Sarah Weiss, Millie Roberts and Teresa Utter; several nieces and nephews.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearer: Stephen Sanders.

Mrs. Calaway was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late David Wilson and Lillie McGinnis Jenkins and was a member of the Highway 9 Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Calaway and sons, Stanley and Delmas Calaway.
