Addison P. Murphy, 68, died this morning about eleven o'clock at his home, 747 East Second street. He had not been well for the last four years and had been bedfast for the past week.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clcock Monday afternoon at the L.A. Jones Funeral home, conducted by Rev. T.E. White. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery,
Mr. Murphy had been a resident of Washington for 26 years. He was an employee at the Mace Motor company for 20 years.
He was born May 9, 1877, in Kansas, a son of Jeremiah and Sarah (Greiner) Murphy and spent the early part of his lfe in that state. He was married August 26, 1900 at Sigourney to Ada Bell Musgrove. The family moved from Kansas to Oakaloosa in 1916.
Surviving him are his wife and twelve children; Ed C. of Joy, IL; Mrs. Grace McCartney of Moline, IL., Harry C. of Milan, IL: Floyd A., Perry E., David E., Mrs. Elwood Misel, William K., Addison, Jr., Lois Jean, all of Washington; Faye Murphy of Keota; Glenn R. of Brighton; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Musgrove of Ottumwa and Mrs. Anna Tusing of Albia, and 9 grandchildren. One daughter, Bertha Bell, is deceased.
