Robert Evans, who had been ill of typhoid fever, died at his home here Saturday morning. He was 27 years of age. Surviving are his wife, Eva Maxwell Evans; a son, James Robert; his father and mother, Mr & Mrs Grover Evans; 3 brothers, John, Charlie and Jesse; a sister, Mrs Roscoe Holland; a half-brother, Jimmie Lyles.
The funeral was conducted by Rev B M Harness Sunday evening with burial at the Maxwell Family graveyard near Moccasin Bluff Church.
