Jewel C. Hudson, 92, of Austin, Texas and formerly of Palestine, Texas died December 3, 2000. She was born January 1, 1908 to Rosie and Floyd Crawford, Sr. in Anderson County. Mrs. Hudson attended public schools in the county, Jones Business School and preparatory nursing classes. In 1923, she married Willie Hudson. She was a member of McDonald Church of God in Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband; 11 sisters and brothers; and a son, Clayversa Hudson. Mrs. Hudson is survived by daughter, Evelyn Cline; sons, Willie Hudson, Jr. and James W. Hudson; sister, Evelyn Martin; brother, James Crawford, Sr.; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
