He was born Sept. 8, 1939, in Cooperstown, the son of Harold J. and Arlene J. (Pope) Vibbard.
He was married to Charlotte Wilfeard in 1964, in Edmeston by the Rev. John Blackman.
Glenn worked as a dairy farmer from childhood through manhood. As a young father he enjoyed taking his children fishing, and as a brother, he would listen to all the hunting and sporting stories. He was a hard worker, who had also been employed by the local post offices, and Crystal Lake Campground, where he mowed the lawn and drove the Turtle Trolley. His family will remember him as a real caring man, with a great sense of humor.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Charlotte; his children and their spouses, Michael and Cindy Vibbard, Edward and Cathy Vibbard and Christine and Joe Santiago; 11 grandchildren; four brothers, Ronald, Raymond, Douglas and Gerald Vibbard; and one sister, Dorothy Rausch; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are Wednesday, June 2, 1999, at 3 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church, Edmeston, with the Rev. John Buskey, officiating. Calling hours are one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements are by Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home, Edmeston.
