Jacob Fulton Brown was born on the family farm in Fairfield
township, Carroll County, Missouri, Feb 8, 1863 to Theodore
and Mary Elizabeth Falke Brown. He grew up on this farm and
lived there all his life until moving to Norborne about 1948.
He was frugal and a good manager. Besides farming he also
raised Missouri Mules.
After his father died he took care of his mother until he married Lettie Gertrude Benson of Bogard, Nov. 25 1903 at the church in Bogard, Missouri. They had three childrens: the first was a girl who died in infancy, a son, Herbert Roscoe and a daughter Gladys Marie (she went by Mary Gladys).
He live in the same house that his father built most of his life until old age made him decide to leave the farm and move to Norborne.
He died Sept 25 1950 from a fall that he took while walking
in Norborne. He is buried in Fairhaven Cemetery, Norborne, Carroll, Missouri.
