SCOTISVILLE - Janet Sue Schmidt, 48, of Scottsville died at 10:45 a.m. Jan. 8, 2006, at her home.

The Bedford, Ind., native was a homemaker and member of the Gospel Outreach Church. She was a daughter of the late Ernest Voorhies and Clara Bessie Reed Voorhies.

Funeral is at noon Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home, with burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation is at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband, Troy Schmidt; five daughters, Tammy White of Bloomington, Ind. and Stacy Tillette and Dina, Falisha and Crystal Schmidt , all of Scottsville; four brothers, George Voorhies of Albertsville, Ala., Dale Voorhies of Crown Point, Ind., Orval Voorhies of Lake Village, Ind., and Estel Voorhies of Mitchell, Ind.; four sisters, Juanita Baker of Oolictic, Ind., Mary Baker of Scottsville and Helen Kent and Margaret York both of Mitchell, Ind.; and six grandchildren, Anthony, Brittney, and Kylsey Tdlette and Kyle, Christina and Kevin White.

She was preceded in death by one brother Dexter Dean Voorhies . Following in death were a sister Juanita Voorhies Baker(1932-2008) and two brothers Estel Lee Voorhies(1945-2006) & George W. Voorhies(1934-2011)
