Mary Elizbeth Falke Brown was born in 1933 in
Hesse Darmstadt to Jacob Falke and his first wife.
She had another sister, Wilhelmine.
In 1844, after her father had remarried to Christiana Steele Falke. In 1845 a son was born to this family. In 1848 her family sailed from Bremen, Germany on the ship Moslem to the port of New Orleans, Louisana.
The traveled north to Missouri. Her father purchased land in Section 2 of Prairie Township, Carroll County, Missouri. Another child, Mary Louise, was born here.
Mary Elizabeth married Theodore Brown 25 Oct 1853 in Carrollton, Carroll County, Missouri. They had 9 children that they raised on their farm in Fairfield township, Section 23, Carroll County, Missouri.
After Theodore died in 1893 she remained on the family farm with one of her sons, Jacob F. Brown. About 1903 she moved to Norborne, Carroll County, Missouri to live with one of her daughters, Melvina Ann Brown Creel. She died there in 1906 and was buried with Theodore in Antioch Cemetery, north of Norborne, Carroll, Missouri.
