Gaffney, S.C. - Dorothy (Dot) Mae Peeler Painter, 81, of 166 Mabry Lane, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late William Virgil Painter and was the daughter of the late Ernest Andrew Peeler and Dorcas Davis Peeler.
Mrs. Painter retired from NationsBank and was a member of Midway Baptist Church.
Surviving is a son, David William Painter of Gaffney; a daughter, Beth Elaine Painter Bradley and husband, Mark, of Gaffney; a brother, Ernest Peeler, Jr. and wife, Elsie, of Gaffney; four sisters, Thelma Guthrie of Gaffney, Ruth McCoy and husband, George, of Fort Lauderdale, Fl., Doris Patterson of Gaffney and Alice Baston of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Caroline Bradley and Catherine Bradley.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Peeler and Lois Bright.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Midway Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Church with Rev. Vernon Craig officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
