WAXAHACHIE - Albert (Rod) Leeroy Barlow,72, died Saturday (April 16) at the W.C. Tenery Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Rudolph Snider Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. Tom Lanier and the Rev. Jimmy Petty officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.

Mr. Barlow was born on May 4, 1904, at Cleburne and moved to Maypearl in 1917 and then moved to Waxahachie in 1967. The son of the late Elsie Mueller and Roy Dewitt Barlow, he was a retired farmer and a member of the Maypearl First Baptist Church. He married the former Zora Williams on July 29, 1922, at Maypearl.

Survivors include his widow; 2 sons, William M. Barlow of Fort Worth and Glen S. Barlow of Maypearl; 5 daughters, Mrs. Iva Lee Richards of Fort Worth, Mrs. Betty Ruth Sullivan, Mrs. Mary Elsie McAdams, Mrs. Joan Anne Cockerham and Mrs. Elizabeth Floy Butler, all of Waxahachie; 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Barlow and two sisters, Anna Mae Barlow and Rosie Lee Barlow.
