William M. "Bill" Barlow, 85, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Bill was born May 15, 1925, in Maypearl to Albert Leroy and Iva Zora Barlow. He served in the United States Army from May 25, 1944, to April 29, 1945, and was a POW in Germany. Bill was employed with Convair for 15 years, and then went to own an electronics repair business that he ran for over 20 years. He enjoyed outdoor activities, camping, hunting and fishing, and was an avid 42, domino and poker player. Bill loved to spend time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. Survivors: Wife of 61 years, Faye Barlow; sons, Glenn Barlow and wife, Sharon, and Charles Barlow; daughter, Glenda Bromley and husband, Darryl; brother, Glen Barlow and wife, Melinda; sister, Betty Ruth Sullivan; grandchildren, Jennifer Torrent and husband, Steve, Kevin Barlow, Brian Barlow and wife, Vicki, Jason Barlow and Josh Barlow; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
