He was born January 23, 1874,at West End, Bedford County, the son of Simon and Emaline (McEwen)May, both now deceased.
He was united in marriage to Annie Corley, who survives along with these children: Joseph May of Cumberland; John May of Ravennah, Ohio; Mrs. Mary Turner of Corregansville; Ethel and Charles at home. One brother Harvey May, of Cumberland survives, as do three sisters, Mrs. Cora Walsh of Mt. Savage; Mrs. Fidie Clites of Buffalo Mills; and Mrs. Gertrude Hillegass of Mann's Choice. There are three surviving grandchildren: Betty May, and Gerald and Emory Turner.
Mr. May was a member of the Dry Ridge Reformed church. Funeral services were held there yesterday by Rev. George R. Winters of Hyndman, with interment in Dry Ridge cemetery directed by Harvey Zeigler of Hyndman.
