Cumberland News; Cumberland, Maryland, Friday, May 29, 1964: “Mrs. James Walsh—Mt. Savage—Mrs. Cora Walsh, 87, died Wednesday evening at her home.  Born in Bard, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Simon and Evaline (McQuen) May.  Her husband, James Walsh, preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John Graham, Barberton, Ohio and Mrs. Charles E. Kight, Cumberland; seven sons: Arthur, Earl and Leo Walsh, Mt. Savage and James, Bernard, Edward and Clement all of Akron; a brother, Harvey May, Cumberland; a sister, Mrs.. Fida Clites, Buffalo Mills, Pa; 32 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  Mrs. Walsh was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Sodality of the church.  She also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of Hiberians, Mt. Savage and the Fireman's Auxiliary.  The body is at the residence.  Requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's church and interment will be in the parish cemetery.  Pallbearers are Donald Rice, Edward Monahan, Edward Malloy, Robert Mulligan, Lester Kight and Franklin Theorig.”
