December 24, 2012 at her home.
On October 6, 1937, Christine was born to Louis & Jessie
(nee: Daniels) DeMoss. On April 2, 1956 Christine married
James Gilbert in Rensselear, Indiana. Christine was a
homemaker and worked at Per Pack for 20+ years. She
attended the Virgie Christian Church.
children: Tim (Fern) Gilbert, Jerry Gilbert, Terry Gilbert,
Jackie Brooks, Kevin ‘Doug' (Vicki) Gilbert, Cindy (Mike)
Baxter, Jim (Lori) Gilbert Jr., Christine (Chris) McPeters and
Luke Gilbert, daughter-in-law: Julie, 22 grandchildren, 8
great-grandchildren, brother: Cecil ‘Buck' (Deana) DeMoss,
and sisters: Alice Dobson and Janice (Charles) Sell.
Christine was preceded in death by her husband James;
three sons: James, Gene & Randy Gilbert; brothers: Larry,
‘Jack' (John) & Richard, sisters: Mildred, Peggy, Ethel, &
Delores.
Per her wishes cremation has taken place and her ashes will
be laid to rest on the family plot in the Wheatfield
Cemetery.
Boersma Funeral Home, Wheatfield is in charge of the
arrangements.
