She was born near Tallinn, Estonia and emigrated to Canada and then to the Bahamas after World War II. She came to Atlantic City in 1955 as the new bride of Walter J. Buzby II, of the Dennis Hotel. Aino and Walter were married for 49 years at the time of Walter's death in 2005.
She was active in a number of charitable organizations including the Atlantic City Charity League, where she was a 50 year member. She also served for many years as a Hostess for Miss America contestants, including Miss America 1958¬Marilyn Van Derbur. She was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her two sons-Rear Admiral Mark Buzby and his wife, Gina, David Buzby and his wife Carol, her beloved grandchildren Elizabeth and George, and her devoted caretaker Tina Oduro.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Jeffries & Keates F.H. Tilton Rd. and Infield Avenue, Northfield. Interment will follow in Laurel Memorial Park.
