She moved to southwestern Missouri with her parents when a very small girl where she lived until her marriage to J. D. Rorabaugh on December 24, 1895. There were two children born to them while yet in Missouri, one of them having died in infancy.
They moved to Custer county, Oklahoma in 1901. They homesteaded in what was then Old Day County in 1901. Where they still reside. Here there were five other children born one of them George, having preceded her in death in 1926.
The survivors are her husband, J.D. Rorabaugh, one son, Lloyd Otis who is serving with the armed forces overseas, three daughters, Mae Dickason, Almyra Edgington, Rula Anderson and Bonnie. Two grandchildren, Rex Dickason, who is with the U.S. Navy, stationed in San Diego, California, Betty Jean Edgington of Norman, Oklahoma, one great-grandson, Gene Dickason, two nephews, Loyd and Sam Wampey of Goodman, Missouri, who were present for the funeral services. Two cousins, Maude Riley and Charlie Bennett, with a host of other relatives and friends.
She was a very devoted wife and loving mother. Having been one of the pioneers she knew the hardships of the early settlers of old Day County as only those who experienced them can know. She was a beloved friend and neighbor to all.
She was converted and baptized in 1927 and has always striven for a better world.
