Mrs. Victoria Dolly Meikamp, 71, died this morning at 2:40 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville where she had been a patient two and a half weeks. She resided at 1021 N. Main St.
Surviving are her husband, Charles F. Meikamp, whom she married Feb. 25, 1922 at Alton; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Geraldine) White of Edwardsville; four brothers and three sisters, Mrs. Louise Agles, Mrs. Marie Fischer, Edward, Frank, Joseph and Fred Bast, all of this city, and Mrs. Lena Dollard of East St. Louis. There is one grandchild. A brother is deceased.
Mrs. Meikamp, daughter of Phillip and Johanna Wich Bast, was born Oct. 28, 1894 in Ft. Russell Township. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Altar Society and Ladies Aid.
Visitation will be at Lesley Marks Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Monday. Funeral Mass has been set for Tuesday morning at 9:30 at St. Boniface Church with interment in the Church Cemetery. The Rev. John Dollard of Ballwin, Mo., nephew of the deceased, will officiate.
The rosary will be recited Monday evening at 8:15 at the funeral home.
