Mrs. Mary Christensen, 86, a long time resident of the Rolfe area, died Tuesday morning at the Pocahontas Community Hospital. She had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Home in Laurens for over six years.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, (today) at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Clinton-Garfield Cemetery.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. J.P. (Mildred) Nielsen, Laurens; Mrs. Martin (Lola) Peterson, Rolfe; Mrs. D.C. (Lucile) Flickenger, Annandale, Va.; Mrs. E.C. (Hazel) Thomsen, San Antonio, Tex.; a son, Lawrence, Chicago, Ill.; also 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a brother, John Barnhardt, Pocahontas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, in 1957.
