Viola Henderson Carver, 84, of Amarillo, died Saturday, March 24, 2001.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Northridge Church of Christ with Mr. Hal Smith, minister of the church, and Mr. Eddie Messer, minister of Central Church of Christ, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. in Shamrock Cemetery at Shamrock by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.
Mrs. Carver had lived in Amarillo since 1964. She was a member of Northridge Church of Christ.
She married Donald H. Henderson in October of 1932 at Hollis, Okla. He preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 1963. She moved to Amarillo in 1964 from Grand Junction, Colo. She married R.Q. Carver in October of 1965. He died Aug. 30, 1986. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy and Bill Henderson; a sister; and three brothers.
Survivors include three sons, Norman Carver of New Harmony, Utah, and Eugene Henderson and Roger Henderson, both of Amarillo; five daughters, Shirley McLaskey of Grand Junction, Peggy Sechrist of Yukon, Okla., Sandra Johnson and Linda Rodgers, both of Amarillo, and Cynthia Pollock of Kileen; four brothers, B.F. Dorman and Jerry Dorman, both of Pampa, Charles Dorman of Palisade, Colo., and Don Dorman of Granbury; 29 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
