Gerald B. Shorb, 76, of Thurmont, died Friday at the Annie M. Warner Hospital, Gettysburg, Pa. Born in Carroll, a son of the late Joshua and Elizabeth Troxell Shorb, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War I.
Surviving besides his wife, Mrs. Minnie Freshman Shorb, are one son, Martin F. Shorb, Charleston, S.C., two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother, Morris ** Shorb, Fairfield, Pa.
The body is at the Creager Funeral Home in Thurmont where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Services will be conducted from the funeral home Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Harry Krone. Interment will be in the Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont.
