Mr. Adams died Monday, Sept. 21, 1992. Born in Leesville, he was a son of the late Jesse and Lucy Adams.
He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and Woodmen of the World Camp 273. He was a former bookkeeper with Palmetto Quarry.
Surviving are his wife Jetha Rikard Adams; sons, Omar Adams and Gurney Ray Adams, Jr., both of West Columbia; sisters, Sadie Dawkins of Batesburg and Faye Adams of Leesville; a brother, Heyward Adams of Leesville; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
