Leesville - Miss Elsie Ruth Adams, 69, of 842 Cedar Grove Road, died Sunday. Born in Lexington County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Boyd and Lucy Addie Adams. She was a member of Cedar Grove Lutheran Church, where she served as assistant Sunday school secretary. Surviving are brothers, Oren and J. Heyward Adams of Leesville, James E. and Gurney Adama of Columbia and Freddie L. Adams of West Columbia; and sisters, Mrs. Saddie L. Dawkins of Columbia and Miss Faye I. Adams of Leesville. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. J. Hilton Roof. Pallbearers will be Norman, Charles, Omar, Clyde and Marvin Adams and Ronnie Swygert. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Charles R. Shealy and Sons Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Cedar Grove Lutheran Church. © The State, Columbia, SC, 8 Feb 1988
