Alcy was born to John Gibson (1758-1830, and his wife, Judith 'Juda' Hogg (1759-1845).

In 1800, Census shows John Gibson and family in Caswell, North Carolina.

In 1805, John Gibson received a land grant in Christian Co., Kentucky. Alcy married Jacob Marion Lindley on 13 May 1805 in Kentucky.

22 Nov 1829 - John Gibson's will mentions "Judge Jacob Lindley's children by my daughter, Alsey."

In 1831, Alcy and Jacob moved to Miller Co., Missouri.

In the 1840's they moved to Texas and settled in Lamar County (part of which is now Hopkins County).

On 1850 Census, their residence was District 8, Hopkins Co., Texas.
