Youil O. Burgett, 74, 1504 N. Willard, died today at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tims Chapel of memories with the Rev. Vernon Lawrence officiating. Burial will be at Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Born Jan. 1, 1902 at Blue, (Bryan County, Oklahoma) he married Mary Liza (McDaniel) in 1921 (5 Jan 1924) at Shawnee (Tecumseh, Pottawattomie County, Oklahoma). She died in 1953. he had been a resident of Altus for the past 50 years and was a retired farmer and member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Melvin Clard (Clark) of Midwest City and Mrs. Joe Mayrhefen (Mayrhofen) of Altus; one son, Fred of Altus; two brothers, Spirlon of Salida, Colo. and Clyde of Oklahoma City, two sisters, Bessie Mae Arthur of Lubbock, Texas and Ethel Kennann of Amarillo, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
