Age 73, passed away on November 24, 2012 in Winston, Oregon. She was born on August 31, 1939 in Roseburg, Oregon, to parents Gordon and Lillian Chapin. She was an only child.
On November 7, 1953, she married her soul mate, Willard Roy Baker Sr., and the two remained married nearly 54 years, until Roy passed away on April 3, 2007.
Barbara had a God given talent, of loving, and caring for others, and she would spoil everyone she could get her hands on. She has worked as a nurse's assistant, and teacher's aide. She spent most of her life at home being nothing less, than a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin and friend.
Barbara is survived by sons: Willard Roy Baker Jr. and girlfriend Jeanette Sophia; Earl DeWayne Baker Sr. and daughter-in-law Glenda Kay Baker; Lenard Calvin Baker and girlfriend, Charlene Ireland and Aurbin Lee Baker; cousins Early and Shirley Strunk; grandchildren: Barbara Hampton, Jason Baker, Misty Muir, De Baker, Jami Hale; great-grandchildren: Ashley Schmitt, Jordon Schmitt, Kaden Hampton, Shane Baker, Trisha Baker, Skyler Hamm, Deagan Muir, Isaiah Muir, Caleb Muir, Austin Witte/Muir, Dominic Hale, Aloura Hale and Jaycie Hale.
Memorial Services will be held, Friday, November 30, 2012 at 3 pm., at the Winston Christian church. There will be a potluck to follow.
