Age 77, of Winston, Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2007, with his loving family at his side.

He was born on December 9, 1929, in Earlsboro, Oklahoma, the son of Charles Festus and A.Z. (Rowe) Baker.

Roy was a veteran of the Korean War.

He moved to Oregon in 1953, where he met Barbara Chapin; Roy and Barbara were united in marriage that same year. He was the best friend that Barbara ever had.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Willard Roy Baker Jr.; Earl Dewayne Baker and his wife, Glenda; Lenard Calvin Baker; and Aurbin Lee Baker; all of Winston, Oregon; grandchildren, Misty Muir; Barbara Hampton; Jami Hale; Jason Baker; De Baker; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Barbara would like to thank Dr. Baker and nurse Renne from hospice for their efforts in making Roy's passing a little easier and to also thank Sue.

Services will be held at the Christian Church on Gregory St. in Winston on Saturday, April 7, 2007, at 11 a.m.. Arrangements are under the direction of Taylor's Family Chapel.
