Norman Francis was born on Sept. 11, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio where he grew up, the 2nd of four children of Allen & Sadie (nee Faron) Duesler. He had siblings Allen, Donna & Eileen.
He graduated from East Tech HS in 1942 & attended Cleveland State College for two years. He served in the "Sea Bees" during WWII.
Norman married Julia Jean Kohmanski on May 21, 1949 at St. Theresa's Church in Union City, PA and they five children listed above between 1951 and 1964.
He worked for the Lamp Mfg. Div. of G.E. as a Engineering Supervisor for 42 years & retired Jan. 1, 1987. He was a member of The Ravenna Moose & V.F.W. Club. They lived for many years in Ravenna, OH before moving to Florida.
Norman was about 5'10" tall with brown eyes and brown hair which turned gray at an early age.
Norman was living in Port Charlotte, Florida when he died at the age of 63 on Jan. 17, 1987. Services were held at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Lake Miton, Rev. Frank Lehnerd officiating.
Julia returned to Palmyra, OH where she passed away nine years later on March 22, 1996 at age 71. Both are buried at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Sec. 3, Lot 2735 in Northfield, Ohio. His brother Allen is buried next to him in Lot 2635.
