Mrs. Agnes Mary Ahlene, 56, of 817 Eleventh avenue, Moline, died at 12:15 last night in Lutheran hospital. She had been ill of a heart disease for about two months.
Agnes Mary Cooper was born in Ireland Jan. 19, 1888. She came to America and to Rock Island in about 1908, moving to Moline shortly afterwards. On Dec. 5, 1911, she was married to Arvid R. Ahlene in Monmouth. He died Sept. 27, 1942. Mrs. Ahlene was a member of Belle-K camp of Royal Neighbors of America and of Trinity Lutheran church.
Surviving are a son, Richard C. Ahlene of El Cerrito, Cal.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Schroeder of Moline; a brother, James Cooper of Waverly, Ia.; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Stufflebeam of Waverly, Ia., and Mrs. Jane C. Sherwood of Los Angeles, Cal., and two grandchildren.
The body is at Wendt funeral home.
