John Heath, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in a local care facility Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at the age of 86. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brown, Owens & Brumley's Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. Burial: John will be laid to rest at 3:30 p.m. in San Saba Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. John was born June 8, 1926, to the late George and Sarah Heath in San Saba. John worked for Lockheed Martin for more than 47 dedicated years. He was a union negotiator. John was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Ruth Heath; son, John Wayne Heath; and daughter, Loretta Heath. Survivors: Loving wife of 23 years, Rachel Heath; sons, Larry Heath and Douglas Heath; daughters, Jeannie Roberts, Wanda Dross, Patricia Heady and Linda Romick; brother, Robert Heath; sisters, Sarah Warren and Faye Miller; 10 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many friends.
