Ms. Helen J. Ames, 92, of Deets School Road, Titusville, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at the Oil City Presbyterian Home where she has been a resident since May.
Born in Meadville PA Feb. 1, 1920,she was a daughter of the late Clinton N. Ames and Bertha Popeney Ames. She never marrried.
She graduated from Oakland Township High School and was formerly employed by Ruel H. Smith Enterprises and then GTE/Sylvania for over 30 years.
She was a member of St. Venantius Church in Rouseville.
Survivors include a brother, Charles Ames and his wife, Mary Helen, of Dempseytown; a sister, Jean Ames of Erie; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Deets; and three brothers, Virgil and Edward Ames and an infant brother, Donovan Ames.
Interment will be in Dempseytown Lutheran Cemetery.
