On May 3, 1899, Amelia Rouge married John Kemm, the son of Charles Kemm and Fanny (Michnewitch) Kemm, at Eden Evangelical Church in Edwardsville, Illinois. The Reverend A. Meyer officiated. One daughter was born to this union:
Mabel D. Kemm married Alvin C.H. Schaefer
Amelia and John Kemm lived in Edwardsville, Illinois where he worked in the mines and later as a bartender. John preceded Amelia in death on April 6, 1915.
Amelia (Rouge) Kemm passed away on April 1, 1926 at her home, 1102 North Main Street. She had been suffering with liver trouble for several months before her death. In the last month her condition was realized to be dangerous and she became seriously ill in the final weeks before her death.
A funeral service was held at Eden Evangelical Church in Edwardsville, Illinois, the Reverend H. J. Bredehoeft officiated. Amelia was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Edwardsville, Illinois.
