Carl Rexilius died last Saturday evening
Died Suddenly
Carl Rexilius for a short time a resident of this city, died suddenly at his home in the Second ward Saturday evening. The deceased had suffered from influenza for a couple of weeks but had been at his work at the Kissel Motor Car factory up to a few days of his death. Mr. Rexilius was found Monday evening in a bad state, having suddenly grown worse after retiring. And although a doctor was called at once, passed away in a few minutes.
Carl Rexilius was born in Karvet, Pommern, Germany, June 2, 1861. He was married in his native county in 1887 to Mary Kadolph and in 1890 they lived on a farm near Pike Lake and then two years ago, moved to Diefenbach’s Corners. Last November, the family came to this city to make their home.
The deceased is survived by his wife and five children, three children having preceded him in death.
The deceased was a respected man and a kind husband and father.
The funeral took place Tuesday at the Lutheran church in this city, Rev. Probst officiating.
Among those from away who were present at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Klumb of Barton, Albert Kadolph and son and Mr. and Mrs. William Kadolph of Loyal.
