Alexander Lincoln of Grinnell died Tuesday afternoon at his home. He was 83 years of age. Interment in the Westfield Cemetery south of Grinnell, Iowa.
The son of Ernest and Elizabeth Lincoln he was born October 20, 1877 in Poweshiek County. He attended rural schools in the Oak Grove Community.
On March 19, 1902 he was united in marriage with Emma Spangler at Grinnell. They farmed for three years following their marriage in Jasper County. Then returned to the Oak Grove area and farmed there until their retirement 12 years ago. They had since made their home in Grinnell.
He was a member of the Oak Grove Friends Church.
