JOHN EDWIN LINCOLN
Tuesday morning at 2 o'clock occured the death of John Edwin Lincoln age 18 years 1 month and 14 days of pneumonia after a months illness.
The deceased was born in Poweshiek county and was a son of Mr and Mrs E E Lincoln. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him and his death will be a great sorrow to his many friends. He is survived by his parents, six brothers and one sister.
The funeral services were held at the Oak Grove church at eleven o'clock Wednesday morning and the remains were laid to rest in the Westfield cemetery. Six of his school mates acted as pallbearers.
The funeral was largely attended by friends and neighbors who paid their tribute to the dead with a great many beautiful flowers.
