Born March 3, 1928, in Massillon, he was a son of the late Clifford "Tip" and Edith (Mapes) Zorger. He retired from Ohio Edison in 1990 and was a member of Anchor Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Covell. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Wanda (Heather) Zorger; three daughters, Jodi Clark, Sandy White and Sheri Zorger, all of Massillon; two sons, David Zorger, of California, and Mark Zorger of Massillon; three sisters, Peggy Zorger, of Las Vegas, Nev., Rose McCreery, of Texas, and Jenny Perry, of Massillon; nine granchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday in Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon with Rev. Mark Jacobs officiating. Burial is in Brookfield Cemetery.
Calling hours are 6-9p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Anchor Baptist Church Building Fund.
