Frank Gauss Dies In Hospital Today
---Frank Gauss, 222 N. Eagle, died at 4:47 a.m. today in Oaklawn hospital, where he had been a patient since December 18.
---He was born in Newton townships July 3, 1877, a son of Michael and Katherine (Goodrich) Gauss. He moved with his family at the age of two to Maple Grove, where he lived during his youth.
---He was married to Adeline Booth of Homer December 23, 1903 in Homer, and they made their home in Maple Grove until 1918. He was a farmer in Marengo township until his retirement in 1955.
---The Gausses lived at Lyon Lake and Palmetto, Fla. Mrs. Gauss died March 25, 1958. Gauss had made his home in Marshall since October, 1960. He was a member of the Marshall Farm Bureau and a member and ruling elder of the First Presbyterian church.
---Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George (Thelma) Kelser and Mrs. Lohrman (Fairy) Zerbel, both of Marshall, and one son, Homer Gauss of Bradenton, Fla.; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Frank Gauss, 222 N. Eagle, who died this morning in Oaklawn hospital, will be held fro the Kelser funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Douglas G. Trout of the First Presbyterian church will officiate, and interment will be in the Lyon Lake cemetery. Friends may call at the Kelser funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Presbyterian window memorial fund if desired.

Mrs. Ida Hill and Mrs. Clarence (Anna) Miller, both of Marshall are surviving sisters of Frank Gauss who died Monday morning at Oaklawn hospital. The names were inadvertently omitted from the Gauss obituary published in last night's chronicle.

Funeral services for Frank Gauss, who died in Oaklawn hospital Monday, were held at the Kelser funeral home at 2:30 p.m. today with the Rev. Douglas Trout, of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Ethel Markham was organist. Burial was in Lyon Lake cemetery. Pallbearers included Russell Gauss, Alfred Russell, Glen Cosgrove, Carl Keithan, Norman Eipper and Frank Goodrich.
