MRS. PRICE
WEST POINT --- Mrs Mary Elder Price, 84, of West Point died Monday, Feb. 19, 1996, at George H. Lanier Memorial Nursing Home in Valley.
Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. at West Point Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dan Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Marseilles Cemetery in West Point.
Mrs. Price is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws, William A Price Jr. and Ellen Y. Price of West Point and Larry W. Price and Nan C. Price of Lilburn, Ga.; Six grandchildren, Mary Ellen Whitley and Sara Kay Price, both of Charlotte, N. C., Jill Price, Judson Price and Carson Price of Lilburn, Ga. and Randan Price of Auburn; two brothers, Loys Elder of Abanda and Dewey Elder of LaFayette; and one great-grandchild.
Born April 24, 1911, in Randolph County, Ala., Mrs. Price was a very active member of West Point Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the Women of the church, taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir. She attended Southern Union College in Wadley. Mrs. Price had been a member of the Wedgwood Garden club and the West Point Music Study club. She was a homemaker and well known as a talented cook
The family respectfully declines the gift of flowers and asks that memorials be made to West Point Presbyterian Church in memory of Mrs. Price. McCarthy Funeral Home in West Point is handling arrangements.
