WALTER L. RATHSACK (d. 1968)

Walter Rathsack, 83, of 631 N. Seventh St., Manitowoc, died Saturday morning
at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. George Knudson will officiate and burial will
be at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Rathsack was born Sept. 20, 1884, in Manitowoc, son of the late Charles
and Lizetta Lenz Rathsack. He married Lora Hansen July 30, 1908, in Manitowoc.
He was employed for 48 years by the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc. He was a
foreman and worked for seven years for the old Company H. and was a member of
the Masonic Lodge F. and A.M.
Survivors include his wife, three sons, Robert L., Joseph, and Sterling, of
Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Lucille) Peterson of San Mateo, Calif.,
and Mrs. John (Betty) Bebow, of Manitowoc; a brother, Charles, of Butternut;
two sisters, Mrs. Rose Johnson, of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Setta Nichlous, of
Manitowoc; 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. A son, Walter, was
killed in action during World War II. A brother and two sisters also preceded
him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home this Monday evening where at 7:30 o'clock
the Masonic Lodge will conduct services and Tuesday until the time of services.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
