JOSEPH RATHSACK (d. 1962)

Mr. Joseph W. Rathsack, 88, formerly of 1019 Franklin St., Manitowoc, died
Friday night at Manitowoc County Hospital where he was a patient for the last
three weeks.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
the Rev. Pual Blaufuss officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Rathsack was born July 14, 1875 at Manitowoc, son of the late Charles and
Lyzetta Lenz Rathsack. He married the former Hattie Lange on Sept. 23, 1901, at
Manitowoc. She preceded him in death June 12, 1951.
For many years Mr. Rathsack was a commercial fisherman on Lake Michigan, retiring
in 1941. He also served as a cook with old Company H Wisconsin National Guard.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Schmidt of Manitowoc and Mrs. George
Erdman of Manitowoc; two brothers, Walter of Manitowoc and Charles of Butternut;
two sisters, Mr. John Nichlous of Manitowoc and Mrs. Albert Johnson of Milwaukee;
two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
