Born Feb. 3, 1906, at Harlan, he married Edna Granger July 25, 1929. He was a retired schoolteacher and a retired social worker for the Rice County Welfare Office. He had been a resident of Lyons since 1954.
He was a member of the First Christian Church and Lions Club, both of Lyons.
Survivors; wife, of the home; three grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Harold Shore. Burial will be at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 until 9 p.m. Sunday at the Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons, Memorials to the church.
