Dorothy Iris Atwood Steele Anderson, 74, passed away May 5, 1997.

Born July 9, 1922 in Layton, Utah to Walter Augustine and Hannah Ellen Chadwick Atwood. Married Jesse Leon Steele, June 6, 1940 in Thistle, Utah; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple in 1964. He passed away, August 18, 1969. Married Duncan Anderson in 1970 in Grantsville, Utah. He passed away in 1979. Resident of Spanish Fork for 26 years, then Grantsville for 11 years.

Dorothy was a faithful member of the LDS Church. She was always of service to those in need. She helped care for her elderly parents until their deaths. She was always available for her family, especially in times of need.

Survivors: sons and daughters, A. Lee (Judy) Steele, of Kentucky; Clifton (Mary) Steele, of South Ogden; Lloyd J. (Veon), of West Valley City; Cora Jeffs, of Sandy; Mrs. Dennis (Vera Ann) Wilkinson, of Magna; brother and sisters, Doug Atwood and Isabelle Williams, of Spanish Fork; Inez Messick, of Provo; Sylvia Woodward, of Oregon; 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 10 siblings and son-in-law, David Jeffs.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, May 8, 1997, 11 a.m. Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, where friends may call Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m. and again Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
