Hannah Isabell Atwood Williams, age 92, passed away at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah from Causes Incident to Age and Complications from an Automobile Accident.

Isabell was born in Salem, Utah to Walter Augustine Atwood and Hannah Ellen Chadwick and is the 10th child of 15. She always considered herself a gypsy because her family never stayed in one place very long, and when they would travel, it was always by wagon and horses. She knew the Wasatch Mountains like the back of her hand and never needed a map for directions. She has lived in Millfork, Thistle, and Park City, to name a few. However, she and Bill spent 22 wonderful summers in the Strawberry valley.

She met William Jones (Bill) Williams at a watering hole in the red narrows, and from that point on she knew she had met her cowboy. She later married Bill on January 16, 1934 and the marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on July 26, 1958. Bill preceded her in death on November 16, 1984.
Isabell was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in Primary, as a Relief Society President, and as a temple worker. She worked for Nebo School District in the school lunch program for over thirty years.

Isabell's golden years were filled with service, she always kept busy by working on another "Christmas project", either a crocheted afghan or a set of pillowcases. She also filled her home with beautiful music. It was always a treat to visit her home when she would pull out her harmonica and play the cowboy songs she grew up with. During family reunions, she and her sister, Inez, would get together in the evenings and indulge the family audience by playing harmonica duets.

Isabell has left a wonderful legacy to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never tired in telling her memories of growing up in the mountains of Utah. The sparkle never grew dim in her eyes as she recounted her stories of how she and her sister, Inez, would collect Indian beads the ants would gather, or of how she saw her very first locomotive steam engine.

Isabell is sruvived by her sister, Inez; her sons, William Jay (Deanna); and Ross (Jody); and daughter, Shirlee (Dwayne) Brannin. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 13 siblings.
