Clarence K. BAKER, 65, died Monday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Riverside Lutheran Church. The Rev. James Sandvik will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-8:30 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Berkemier Funeral Home.
Mr. Baker was born 1 February 1922 at Wagner, SD. and came to Sioux City with his family as a child. He married Genevive ZACEK 4 October 1942 in Dakota City, Neb. The couple made their home in Sioux City. Mrs. BAKER died 1 February 1970 in Sioux City. He was employed by Armour & Co. for 22 years and then employed by Midwest Livestock Commission Co. as a hog salesman until his retirement.
Mr. Baker was a member of Riverside Lutheran Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2492.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth C. of Sioux City; a brother, Jack of Sioux City; 3 sisters, Marie LOKER and Lucille LOWIN, both of Sioux City and Mabel SOLOMON of Merrill, IA. and 2 grandsons, Kenny and Kevin.
Pallbearers will be Don Ensley, Jerry Lester, Bob Behrens, Rick Loker, Bob Solomon, Norm Loker, Bob Schlesser, Vince McMahon.
Hymns "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden" sung by Sandy Fravel and Shareil Wheelock with organist, Mrs. Jacob Goede.
