Beatrice Calloway Kaylor
Granite Falls, N.C.- Mrs. Beatrice Calloway Kaylor, 73, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at Frye Regional Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 9, 1935, in Avery County to the late James Leo Calloway and Vinnie Arnet Calloway.
Mrs. Kaylor was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where she was part of the church choir and senior Sunday school class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Kaylor; her son, Mark Kaylor; and one brother, Wayburn Calloway.
She is survived by her three sons, Eddie Kaylor and wife, Debbie, of Granite Falls, Gerald Kaylor and wife, Diane, of Granite Falls and Bryan Kaylor and fiancee, Sharon, of Lenoir; her four brothers, Junior Calloway of Granite Falls, Buck Calloway of Hickory, Jim Calloway of Hudson and Ronnie Calloway of Hickory; her three sisters, Pansy Keene of Hudson, Elsie Reece of Hudson and Glenda Carter of Hudson; and her 10 grandchildren, Jammie Kaylor, Brandy Johnson, Steve Kaylor, Chad Kaylor, Crystal Murawsky, Jodi Teague, Amanda Teague, Josh Kaylor, Noah Kaylor and Nate Kaylor. Mrs. Kaylor also is survived by nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Kaylor will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Clyde Bumgarner officiating.
Burial will follow in Cajah's Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
